In a heartbreaking development, popular Nigerian activist and influencer VeryDarkMan has shared a tragic story involving a fan from Anambra State who recently reached out to offer him a generous gift of fish.

The man, known on Instagram as @fishmagnett, was a local fish farmer in Anambra and reportedly expressed admiration for VeryDarkMan’s advocacy and social efforts. He had promised to send a large consignment of fresh fish to support and appreciate him.

However, before the gift could be delivered, the young man was kidnapped and later killed by unknown assailants. The tragic news was confirmed by locals and further amplified when VeryDarkMan posted a video expressing shock and sadness over the incident.

A Heartfelt Loss

VeryDarkMan, visibly shaken in the video, lamented the killing of a man who had shown kindness and support. He emphasized how dangerous it has become for good citizens to live and thrive in certain parts of Nigeria without fear of violence or sudden death.

“This is not just a loss for me, it’s a loss for all of us trying to make a difference,” he said. The influencer called on the authorities in Anambra State and across Nigeria to ensure safety for citizens and put an end to rampant killings and kidnappings.
